Course Objectives

 

 

The course will be conducted in a seminar format. We will read/view and discuss assigned texts and films, focusing on literary analysis and self-expression.

 

By the end of this course you should expect to have:

 

- become acquainted with important literary and extra-literary texts of Post-Soviet Russia;

- become acquainted with outstanding cultural and literary figures of contemporary Russia;

- developed a keener awareness of literary texts;

- significantly improved your ability to comprehend spoken and written Russian;

- increased your ability to express your ideas, in both spoken and written Russian;

- considerably expanded your Russian vocabulary.
